11/20 ~ 21/2021 community service at Deer Park. Meet at Deer Park on 11/20/2021 at 8:00 pm.
Cody and Aaron's Life Service Project. The service projects will take place at Deer Park (2005 Guymard Turnpike). TRANSPORTATION: Scouts arriving on Sunday, please arrive BY 8:30 AM. Scouts will depart from Deer Park at 3:00 PM. (1) Aaron's Project: Removing 8 large tree stumps. (2) Cody's Project: Dig/Empty fire pit and refill area near the church. Regarding both projects, information will be provided to those that will participate. This will not be considered as overnight camping since we will be sleeping in the dormitory. (This is a correction from previous post.) Please be on time in arrival. The main entrance gate will be locked after 8 pm, Saturday night.

There will be 2 sessions. Session 1: 8 pm - 9 pm for school graders of 5~8, (Scouts 6~8th grade log in at 7:55 pm the latest); and
Session 2 for school graders of 9~12 (Scouts should log in at 8:55 pm the latest) .

Group at Parking lot of Tuxedo Train Paking area, coordinates 41°11'46.2"N 74°11'03.1"W (41.196178, -74.184205) It is the commuter parking lot NOT train station parking lot. Vehicle may get ticketed if parks at the train station. Scouts need to bring Harriman State Park map and Compass (not cell phone compass) and use the compass and map to complete the hike in order to earn the 2nd class requirement of using a compass and map to complete a 5 miles hiking. Bag lunch, No uniform. If parents are to hike with scout, parents and scouts need carry their own backpacks. Patents will not be hiking with their scout sons.

Bring your own rapid test kit. If you don't have one please use the Contact at the troop web site to request rapid test kit. Online Medical screening by 8:00 pm is also required. After being showing negative in the test result, scouts are to proceed to the 3rd floor to group by patrol. 6 feet distance between patrol, 3 feet distance between scouts in the same patrol. To assist temple/BLIA in collecting household hazardous wastes. There will be 2 shifts, patrol 1, 2 & 3 will serve the 1st shift: 9:45 am - 11 am and parol 4, 5 & 6 will serve the 2nd shift: 11 am - 12 noon. Scout will attend one shift only. Group at the temple parking lot either at 9:45 or 11 am depending on which shift to serve Assist temple, BLIA in transferring household hazardous wastes to cargo van of BLIA members to transport them to thee city collection site. Scouts will screen what are acceptable and not acceptable items. Class A uniform. Scout need to do COVID Rapid test upon arriving at the temple.
